About

Lennon Sickels

they/them

Lennon is a non-binary performer best known for their role as Sydney in Backwards Faces (AppleTV, Prime, Vudu, and others).

Classically trained, Lennon studied acting for the camera under Robbie Tan (Mare of Eastown, The Creator, Blackmirror), and physical theater under Maria Porter (author of Re-Purposing Suzuki: A Hybrid Approach to Actor Training).

Since receiving their BFA in 2021, Lennon has performed in several short films including What A Trip (winner of the 2023 Audience Award at Southside Film Festival), as well three feature films including Bark, an official selection at Fantastic Fest as well as Lennon's first international project, where they had the opportunity to perform alongside Michael Weston.

Lennon is a multidisciplinary artist, with a high proficiency in visual art/design and their approach to character development and scene-work often combines classical acting techniques with a variety of artistic mediums. Lennon specializes in complex, character-driven stories with an edge; as demonstrated in their current project Maple Baby, an intimate, queer story tackling themes of grief and resilience.
